Our Minors went down to a super Bishopstown team last Saturday in Pairc Ui Chaoimh.
Nevertheless, they have has an excellent year and can have no complaints about this defeat.

Congratulations to the Newtown Minor team who beat a fancied
Midleton team last Saturday ro reach the final of the County Premier
Minor Hurling Championship. Having being well beaten by Ballyhea in the first round, this
team has shown great sprit and determination to bounce back. Ballyheas or Valley Rover await
in the final.

Newtown's minor team were beaten by better balanced Ballyhea team last night in the
Premier league in Ballyhea. Minus a few key players, the lads put up a promising
showing that arguers well for the forthcoming championship.
