Mon 4th June 2001, @ Midleton
Newtown turned in an impressive performance in this Midleton Tournament to record a 15 point win over the home side. The North Cork men opened in determined style and with the return of Declan Murphy and John McCarthy, they used their possesion game to great effect. Jerry O' Connor was a thorn in the Midleton defence throughout producing a sparkling display.
