Book Launch a Big Success

The Valestar
19th July 2001

A classy production is the book which traces the path to glory last season of the senior hurlers. The general consensus among the large gathering at the newly refurbished club room on Friday night 13th July 2001, was that the huge effort by the committee who produced this publication was a real credit to them.

It is a treasure for the years ahead to forever remember this historic success. Tomas Mulcahy launched the publication amid a great reception, with plenty of banter about the Glen game.

In his address he spoke of the great day of winning a senior hurling title and he also spoke of the great disappointment at contesting five deciders in his career, and only winning one, and in his own words, these successes don't fall out of trees.

Copies of the book are on sale now at £10 each. We'd love for some of these books to make their way across the seas to the USA, UK and Australia, where many of our parishoners are now in residence. What better present to give your loved ones!
