On Friday night, 2nd February 2001, the Newtownshandrum GAA & Camoige social was held at the Devon Inn Hotel. A large crowd of over 350 people attended this years social.

Highlights of this victory celebration included the presentation of the County Senior Hurling medals, County U21 Hurling medals and County Senior Camogie League medals.
