Newtownshandrum collected their first ever Cork Senior League title after winning the League Final at Delaneys on Monday, 24th April, 2000.

UCC win Ashbourne Cup Final:
UCC recorded their 28th Ashbourne Cup success after they defeated UCD by the narrowest of margins, in the final at Dangan Sportsfield, Galway, on Sunday 20th February, 2000. Click here for a match report...

The 14th November will hold special memories for us, as it saw us crowned County Minor Hurling Champions after an enthralling contest with the seasiders of Youghal.

Junior All Ireland Camogie Final:
Scenes of great excitment were witnessed at Croke Park on September 5th 1999, at the Junior All Ireland Camogie Final when Muireann Harrington and Caroline Giltinan both from Newtownshandrum played on the victorious Cork Junior team against Derry. The game was closely contested throughout the sixty minutes with Cork holding out for a decisive one point victory.     Click here for a match report...



Senior All Ireland Hurling Final:
Another great day for Newtownshandrum when Ben O'Connor lined out with the Cork Senior Hurling team in the All Ireland Final of 12th September 1999, against Kilkenny. Cork, the winners of the Liam McCarthy cup for the 28th time, beat Kilkenny on the scoreline of 0-13 to 0-12.     Click here for a match report...



Minor All Ireland Camogie Final:
Cork retained their All Ireland Minor Camogie title in tremendous fashion at Ardrahan on Sunday 23rd August 1999. Newtownshandrum were represented by Niamh Bowles (who captained the victorious team) and Aine Kelleher.     Click here for a match report...
